Im Maliya

  My name is Maliya Caraang I am a third year at the University of the Pacific. I was born and raised here in Stockton California. I love art, music, gaming, fashion, and the beach. I've always loved art from a very young age and it is very important to me in many different ways. Growing up I found I was never really into other things as much as I was into art. As I grew up art had more influence on my life. I started young with little doodles here and there but music really was the highlight of my life. I always loved singing and playing instruments and I still do. Art was always a great way for me to escape from school since I was never really into the standard subjects like math, science, English, and I wasn't very good at them either. I was always into the more creative side of things , and saw things in a different way. If I ever had to say a quote id like to pass on, it would be the one from one of my high school art teachers. She said "if you want to do it, go for it" . This really struck me ,because I was struggling to find out what I wanted to major in. Hearing that really motivated me into wanting to pursue something I am interested in rather than something I am told to go after. Yes, I truly enjoy art it brings happiness to my life and to others in my family and my friends. I also love my family they mean a lot to me and have helped shape me into the person I am today. I am thankful to come from such a loving, creative ,talented, and amazing family.
